Censors and Longevity
THE CENSORS
A lot of sketch comedy was portrayed with either sexual overtures or with some political satire. People throughout the years complained about some of our skits, but I was always reminding them they had a remote control and rather than complaining they can be switching.
GORGEOUS GEORGE LONGEVITY
Throughout the year of 1999, the Gorgeous George show excelled. That was our year: we were on every week and the time slot was 11:30 at night. Every Wednesday night we tried to be versatile and combined the comedy with some serious talk. We had psychics, local disc jockeys, etc. on the show. Throughout the live shows we had a lot of great callers, but we gradually got an element of college students and rednecks that would become vulgar. I like to refer to these callers as an element of trash, but I digress. During the summer of 1999, Matt and I went to Las Vegas and Kevin hosted the show for about month. Needless to say that Vegas trip kind of changed me. I fell in love with a dancer name Sue. She and I had a lot of fun together, but a lot of that situation became a tragic matter for me, which I will get into a little more in a moment.
IN 2000
In the year 2000, Matt moved to Northern Virginia. So it was just Kevin and me. Our shows decreased into smaller blocks, so I went back to some pre-recorded shows and tested the market in Baltimore and Albuquerque public access networks. Throughout some of the shows I became a little more political. I was disgusted when Bush became president. I loved Bill Clinton and sometimes I got a little emotional saying his praises to bunch of backwards rednecks that would bash him. Throughout the beginning of Junior Bush getting elected, I went off on how it was a stolen election, which was already obvious. Throughout 9/11 in 2001, which was a day we will all remember, I did probably one of the most serious shows I ever did. Of course, when Bush sent our troops to Iraq, I bashed him constantly because I believed it was senseless and of course the rest of that became obvious.
ONE MISTAKE
We started getting more of an element of trash calling my show during the latter part of 2001 and the beginning part of 2002. It finally came to a point where just about 80 percent of the callers became vulgar. One of the major plunders that I did was airing out a personal hardship that I had with Sue. Sue and I had problems during one of my trips back from Vegas, I was torn up. I used my television program as a sounding board to vent. Major mistake, because a lot of immature people took the ball and ran with it. Throughout that period there were a bunch of detractors on the Internet that used my likeness and posted a bunch of falsehoods and mistruths about me on a private thread. I will say they are all lies. They also went a step further and bought a domain and took it out of private viewing. Once again it is packed with a bunch of lies and without mentioning the site, nor the creator, I’m hereby denouncing all of the threads and within a few weeks we will be posting DVDs on the best of the shows. Giving the whole show's comedy value minus the so-called Internet geeks that call. The wait is no longer. Everything related to The Gorgeous George Show is here. May the real story be stated and rung out, forever more. WHOO!!! God Bless Gorgeous George.
